Edna
About Edna
Edna is the second to last of the family. She entered the Grey Nuns religious community in her early twenties. In order to perfect her French, she was transferred to the Grey Nuns' Mother House in Montreal. It was not easy to leave her native land. Nevertheless, she went for it!
After a few years, however, she realized that this choice did not satisfy her. Her maternal instincts dictated a different path. She decided to break her commitment to the community. After some time, her wish came true, she met the man who would become the father of her two children: Eugène (Léonce) Leblanc. He was originally from New Brunswick. What a strange coincidence, two people born at the opposite ends of Canada fell in love with each other in Montreal.
From this union were born two young girls. Diane became a teacher, and Doris married Richard, now a nurse. Despite her difficult deliveries, Edna never gave up because for her, family is the most important thing. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters on a regular basis, as well as her six grandchildren; Kariane, Zachary, Laurence, Charlène, Robin and the very last one Théo.
